Bertinga

Visita il sito

Bertinga's vineyards lie in an exceptional position — where documented historical traces of viticulture date back to the year 1085 — on the hills around Gaiole in Chianti, at an average altitude above 500 m, where the soils, with both south-west and north-east exposures, are composed mainly of galestro and alberese, which give the wine extreme finesse and elegance.
No other place could have been more suited than Gaiole in Chianti to host a special and ambitious project like Bertinga, a territory where the oldest roots of Chianti Classico meet the most highly rated and sought-after Super Tuscans.
The Bertinga vineyard, among the most renowned in the area, long belonged to the well-known Castello di Ama winery until 2015 and now, besides being the name of the vineyard and the brand, is also the name of the estate's “Grand Vin”: the BERTINGA IGT.
Bertinga's main goal is to reflect the uniqueness of the territory, expressed through the combination of finesse and power, elegance and structure, contemporaneity and longevity in the wines themselves.
The picture is completed by an international team of professionals led by production director Elisa Ascani, commercial director Luca Vitiello and consultant oenologist Stéphane Derenoncourt.
