Mosnel

Giulio and Lucia are the fifth generation of the family that runs the historic Camignone property. The complex, which also houses the cellars, is at the centre of the 41 hectares of owned vineyards, divided into 20 plots, located in a single block and farmed under certified organic management for more than 15 years. 70% Chardonnay, 15% Pinot Bianco, 15% Pinot Nero and, since 2019, also 1 hectare of Erbamat, an ancient variety typical of the territory. Great respect for the environment, high vine density per hectare and low grape yield per plant are the criteria governing cultivation, in order to obtain the highest quality of the raw material: the grape. After careful tastings, in spring, the resulting wines are also blended with wines from previous vintages, in varying percentages across the different types of Franciacorta, destined for refermentation in the bottle and long ageing on the lees — including for the multi-vintage wines — to favour complexity and longevity. True to the passion and commitment of their mother, Emanuela Barboglio, a pioneer of Franciacorta, Mosnel produces a range of eight Franciacorta wines.
