Lis Neris

Lis Neris is located in the heart of the most renowned Friulian wine area, in the municipality of San Lorenzo, between the Slovenian border to the north and the right bank of the Isonzo river to the south. Over 70 hectares of vineyard are planted in the most beautiful part of a small plateau of deep gravels dragged down to the valley by the meltwaters of the Eastern Alps' glaciers. The sea, the mountains and the valleys draw a unique scenery that served as a stage for the great European civilisations of the past: Rome, the Serenissima and the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Thanks to its enviable geographical position, Friuli has always represented a bridge between Latin and Germanic culture, and its wines are a clear example. One of the paradises for white wine. At the helm of the family company is Alvaro Pecorari, fourth generation of the ownership: the wines we know today were born with him. Lis Neris has always maintained a close relationship with the vineyard and with the surrounding territory. Knowledge of and respect for the environment make it possible to infuse the wine with the character of the terroir, that set of unique characteristics that determine the identity of its wines.
