Borgo Tollena

Tenuta Tollena rises on the hills around San Gimignano. The owners Barbara Bernardi and Fabrizio Giotti, driven by their passion for wine, decided to buy the estate in 2004. Barbara in particular is a tenacious woman with great passion for her work, who personally oversees everything concerning the production and sale of the wines. Thanks to her work and that of her collaborators in the vineyard and cellar, Tollena's products are modern interpretations of traditional Tuscan viticulture that, with their character, express a consistently excellent quality.
The building that today houses the company was an ancient 19th-century historic residence, now completely restored, keeping the original architecture intact. The property extends over a total area of 66 ha, of which 22 ha are devoted to vineyard, 6 ha to olive grove, 27 ha to arable land and the remaining hectares to woodland. It is here that the current owners have created the winery according to the principles of the most advanced vinification techniques, completely renovating the spaces and the facilities for processing, storing and ageing the wine.
