San Giorgio

The estate, founded just after the Second World War as a farm, has over time transformed into a coherent and rigorous winery — a project that puts the identity of the places at its centre, where Sangiovese is the sole protagonist.
Its roots sink into complex soils — clays, galestro, tuffaceous soils, red earths — which yield different nuances in each soil: every vineyard is a variation on the theme. In the cellar, the wine is treated with respect: slow fermentations, ageing in large casks, minimal intervention. It is thus that Sangiovese finds its most complete form; it is thus that it becomes Ugolforte, the Brunello of Tenuta San Giorgio.
