Carlo Pellegrino

Since 1880 we have grown the finest Sicilian grapes, and today we represent an estate of great tradition and experience on the island. In more than one hundred and forty years we have gained a deep knowledge of our territory, of how to grow native varieties and of the best techniques for vinifying the grapes. The Pellegrino family has always personally overseen the work in the vineyard and in the cellar and, now in its sixth generation, is still involved daily in running the business. We grow our grapes on five estates we own, all farmed organically. Salinaro, the vineyards by the sea that give the finest Grillo. Kelbi, a lush garden, ideal for growing Catarratto. Rinazzo, harsh and desert-like, where Syrah grows vigorously. Gazzerotta, the great plain, where alongside Nero d'Avola three single vineyards find their home: a small Grillo vineyard over 40 years old, an experimental Malbec vineyard and a vineyard suited to Frappato. And finally Sibà, on the island of Pantelleria, where the windy climate and marked temperature swings create ideal conditions for the elegant, mineral expression of dry white wines from Zibibbo grapes.
