Citra

Citra is one of the leading wineries in Italy and Abruzzo. Founded in 1973, it combines the technology, control and expertise of a large company with the quality and distinctiveness of the traditional work of about 3,000 winegrowing families. Montepulciano, Trebbiano, Pecorino, Passerina and Cococciola are the excellences of the Abruzzo vineyards. A mosaic of small vineyard plots, even just one hectare each, which together form about 6,000 hectares, all united under one large winery. Native by definition and present on our territory for centuries, they strengthen our work day after day, head held high, in world viticulture. Since 2017, with the consultancy of oenologist Riccardo Cotarella and his staff, we have been committed to growing and enhancing the quality of our wines. The “Citra Wine Team”, made up of 8 oenologists and 8 agronomists from the member wineries and 2 in-house oenologists, manages and controls the entire production chain “from vine to bottle”.
