Famille Bougrier

The Bougrier family has been engaged for more than 130 years in promoting the wines of the Loire Valley and is today recognised as one of the few strictly family-run companies with vineyards stretching from Nantes to Sancerre. Management is currently entrusted to the family's fifth and sixth generations, with Nicolas and Sophie working in close contact with their father Noel Bougrier. Under their guidance the company has established itself as one of the major players in the Loire and in France.
The company comprises three cellars equipped with the most modern vinification facilities, distributed across the entire Loire territory so as to produce all the different wines this region can offer. In this vast area there are 4 main wine zones: the vineyards of the Centre-Val de Loire, of the Touraine, of Anjou-Saumur and of the Pays Nantais. Each region has its own geology and grape varieties, which give the vineyards great diversity and make them among the most dynamic and lively in France. The company's flagship grape is certainly Sauvignon Blanc, which gives rise to some of the most prized bottles produced in the Loire: Pouilly-Fumé and Sancerre.
