The Marilisa Allegrini Group is the synthesis of an entrepreneurial vision that has transformed a passion for wine into a project capable of uniting territories, people and values.
Marilisa, who soon became an ambassador for Valpolicella in the world, earning the nickname Lady Amarone, turned her gaze, from the early 2000s, towards other territories of excellence. In 2001 she founded Poggio al Tesoro in Bolgheri, in 2007 she acquired San Polo in Montalcino, and in 2008 she took over Villa Della Torre in Fumane, in Valpolicella. Three symbolic places that reflect a single philosophy: respect for territories of great vocation, environmental sustainability, love for art and the ability to combine modernity and tradition.
Marilisa's commitment has been recognised internationally with her appearance, the first Italian woman, on the cover of Wine Spectator in 2017 and with her appointment in 2020 as Cavaliere del Lavoro by the President of the Italian Republic. Today the Group is led by Marilisa together with Giancarlo and their daughters Carlotta and Caterina. With companies rooted in the three territories — Valpolicella, Bolgheri and Montalcino — the Marilisa Allegrini Group represents a unique winery, able to tell, through its wines, the beauty of the landscapes and the vitality of a project that has placed the family at its centre as guardian of the past and interpreter of the future.
