Tua Rita

Tua Rita is a winery located in Suvereto. When Rita and Virgilio purchased it in 1984, that land was meant to be no more than the setting for a place to live in contact with nature. From the original 2 hectares of vineyard it has grown to today's 57. One of Italy's first successful 'wine garage' ventures, thanks to the marketing of Stefano Frascolla, son-in-law of Rita and Virgilio, it now exports its wines all over the world. A union of passion and the potential of the land, the company's production philosophy is quality without compromise. Vineyard management has the fundamental aim of helping the vines to defend themselves, ensuring above all the health of the soils and the environment through natural methods. Tua Rita's land, set on a gently and consistently sloping hill, lies in that part of the Alta Maremma known as the Colline Metallifere. The wines, of varying degrees of complexity, share a common element: the personality of this terroir, with aromas of ferrous notes and an intensely savoury progression on the palate.
