Borgoluce
Visita il sitoBorgoluce was born in 2007, founded by Ninni and Caterina Collalto, together with Caterina's husband Lodovico Giustiniani. The property has belonged to the Collalto family for almost 1,000 years and extends over 1,000 hectares, from the Piave river to the first hills of the Prealps, covering the municipalities of Susegana, Santa Lucia di Piave, San Pietro di Feletto and Pieve di Soligo. Within it stand the castles and hamlets of San Salvatore and Collalto.
Traceability of production
The farm produces Prosecco Superiore DOCG and still wines, buffalo cheeses, meats and cured meats, flours, crackers, corn biscuits and breadsticks, honeys, extra-virgin olive oil, walnuts and hazelnuts. The processing of raw materials takes place on the estate through a very short supply chain, traceable in all its phases thanks to the presence of a dairy for processing buffalo milk, a butchery with a boning room and curing rooms for the preparation of meats and cured meats, and a drying facility for corn storage.
The company has a farm shop for direct sales.
Multifunctionality and sustainability
In agricultural production, crops and livestock that enhance Borgoluce's environmental features stand side by side: the variety of crops and their alternation with woodland and meadow areas contribute to protecting the landscape and valorising the botanical varieties present.
The diversification of activities helps make Borgoluce sustainable also from an economic point of view and at the same time creates new job opportunities, in particular for young people.
