Il Borro

Il Borro, an ancient medieval village that extends for more than 1,100 hectares in the Valdarno di Sopra, is today a cutting-edge farm, fully organic and eco-sustainable since 2015, whose pride lies in the 85 hectares of vineyard and the 29 hectares of olive grove. Since 1993, the year in which Ferruccio Ferragamo bought the estate, the medieval village has undergone a massive restoration in order to enhance its historical value. Special attention has been devoted to the requalification of the lands, replanting the vineyards and tending the centuries-old olive trees. Il Borro can boast a wide variety of terroirs, which makes it possible to get the best from each grape variety. In July 2024, the Ferragamo family bought the Pinino winery in Montalcino, with the vision of expanding its portfolio with an offering of Brunello as well.
